This project was where I first conceived the idea for the Karabox app. The purpose of this project is to create a concept video for an original app. I did not have any existing app then, so I thought to do it on a karaoke app that I would love to use since I love karaoke. The brand and the app’s design were not fleshed out at the time so the visuals look completely different from the final product seen in the case study.

Process

Story Structure

  • Opens with a question asking viewers if they love karaoke.
  • Points out the problem of how viewers can’t go to karaoke places anymore since they’re stuck in quarantine and/or have no karaoke places nearby in their area.
  • Brings up the idea of home karaoke and says how traditional home karaoke system can be an expensive investment.
  • Brings up how Karabox is the solution to these problems.
  • Points out key features of the app: large library of songs from multiple different languages and genres, the ability to cast the songs onto the TV, the ability to use the device as remote control, the ability to change the songs’ tempos and keys, and the ability to record the individual performances for editing and sharing.
  • Ends by telling people to download the app and get the full karaoke experience right at their home.
